Carefully restored/built in 2018, it offers a unique Portuguese-style accommodation experience!

This holiday rentals in Madeira is located on a hill 385 metres above sea level, overlooking the picturesque village of Ponta do Sol, just a few minutes’ drive from the beach and the village center.

The property includes two private and independent houses: the Stone House, belonging to the owners for occasional holidays on Madeira Island, and the New House, perfect for accommodating 1 or 2 couples, a group of friends, or a family with children. It has two floors, surrounded by gardens, with various amenities such as a barbecue area, a 9.6×4.6m infinity pool, a relaxation area, an aromatic herb garden, and a laundry.

In this Madeira Island rental, you are presented with a large open garden/sun terrace where you can enjoy the fabulous climate on the sun loungers before taking a dip in the private infinity pool (outdoor areas with more than 500m2, equipped with garden furniture). There are plenty of spaces for socialising and private relaxation.

Within the complex, there is a cultivation area with fruit trees such as mango, lemon, banana, and papaya. Some species of vegetables and herbs are also available for guests’ use, including lettuce, cabbage, pumpkin, sweet peppers, strawberries, arugula, oregano, mint, basil, coriander, parsley, and fennel.

The villa itself is full of history and has been in the hands of the same family for nearly five generations. This remarkable history gave rise to the villa’s name, “Miradouro da Baleia” (Whale Watchtower), based on past experiences where whales were spotted at this point. Nowadays, this area, restored to its original state, is a gathering space to socialise and enjoy the sunset over the sea, or you can try your luck at spotting a whale with the provided binoculars.

This holiday accommodation features a living room with a cosy and comfortable environment that invites relaxation and social moments. The two individual bathrooms ensure privacy and convenience, while the two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed (1.60×2.0m) and the other with three single beds, offer ample space to accommodate all guests comfortably.

A laundry area with a washing machine and dryer is available for free.Free WiFi is provided.

Although the island does not have harsh winters, we provide a portable heating system to ensure your comfort.

In autumn and winter, to make the most of the sunny days that bless our island during these seasons, we provide a pool heating system that can be activated for an extra fee.

A crib or high chair can be requested.
