- Introduction
Welcome to PAUSA Holiday Rentals, a local accommodation management company located on the island of Madeira, Portugal. By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
- Booking Policy
Availability: We are committed to keeping availability information up to date at all times. However, real-time discrepancies may occur due to calendar synchronization. In the event of overbooking, the full amount of the reservation will be refunded.
Confirmation: Bookings are only considered confirmed once full payment has been received and a confirmation email has been issued.
- Cancellations and Refunds
Short-term bookings
a) Full refund for cancellations up to 14 days before the check-in date;
b) Full refund with the exception of the service charge for cancellations up to 7 days before the check-in date;
c) Ongoing reservations are not eligible for a refund in the event of modification or cancellation by the guest.
Long-term bookings (from 28 nights):
a) Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before the check-in date;
b) Reservations made less than 30 days in advance will be entitled to a full refund, except for the service charge, for cancellations made up to 14 days before check-in.
- Change or interruption in the provision of Services
In the event of unforeseeable situations not attributable to PAUSA Holiday Rentals, resulting in the accommodation not being able to be occupied, a full refund of the amount paid will be made, with Pausa Holiday Rentals being exempt from liability for any other costs incurred by the customer due to the cancellation of the reservation.
If the reservation is already in progress, the value of the nights not used will be refunded, plus two nights’ compensation, and the amount refunded may not exceed the total value of the reservation.
- Timetable
Check-in times: From 15:00 to 22:00*.
*Check-ins after 10pm will incur an extra charge of €25 and are subject to confirmation.
Check-out time: Until 11 a.m.
Quiet Hours: In Portugal, according to the General Noise Regulation (Decree-Law no. 9/2007) it is not permitted to make noise between 23H00 and 07H00.
- Other considerations
No parties or events are allowed.
Pets are not allowed.
All our properties are non-smoking.
- Liability
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the accommodation or its contents, as well as any damage caused to the common areas (where applicable), caused by the guests themselves, either by their companions or by any other occupants of the accommodation.
If the cost of any damage or faults to the property exceeds the value of the security deposit, Pausa Holiday Rentals is authorized to charge the additional amount.
The sheets and towels provided by Pausa Holiday Rentals are its property, and any loss of these items will incur a cost of €20 per unit.
Pausa Holiday Rentals is not responsible for any loss, theft or damage to guests’ personal belongings.
Pausa Holiday Rentals will not be held responsible for any interruption to the internet service caused by problems with the operator.
- Communication / Intervention / Maintenance
Upon check-in we recommend a brief check of the accommodation. Any damage, faults or malfunctions should be reported immediately in writing to Pausa Holiday Rentals.
During the course of the stay, Pausa Holiday Rentals reserves the right to access the accommodation, with prior notice, to carry out urgent interventions or others that have been previously scheduled and cannot be postponed.
- Changes to the Terms
Pausa Holiday Rentals reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, and continued use of the site after such changes will constitute acceptance of the new terms.
- Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are subject to Portuguese law. Any dispute shall be settled in the courts of Madeira.
